About the Role

Do you have the expertise to support learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an EAL Teacher on a fixed-term basis until March 2026.
As an EAL Teacher, you will play a key role in helping schools meet the needs of students from various ethnic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds. You will provide expert guidance, training, and support to educators, parents, and communities, ensuring high-quality educational experiences for children and young people with EAL needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer expert advice and training to schools and early years settings, supporting curriculum access and modelling effective teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with schools, parents, and agencies to foster community cohesion and social inclusion for EAL learners and their families.
- Participate in local and national projects to promote the achievement and inclusion of EAL learners.
- Conduct assessments and deliver tailored teaching and learning opportunities for newly arrived and advanced EAL learners.
- Develop and monitor culturally relevant educational programs and resources for students.
- Provide guidance to primary and secondary schools for newly arrived EAL students.
- Deliver high-quality training and networking opportunities for educational settings and professionals.
- Support with EAL pupils' progress, identifying those not meeting expected outcomes, and advise on effective strategies.
- Stay informed about local and national EAL initiatives and research, contributing to policy and process development.
About You:
We are looking for a skilled professional with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience in supporting EAL learners across primary and secondary education.
- Strong ability to collaborate with schools, parents, and agencies to ensure effective inclusion strategies.
- Expertise in developing culturally relevant educational resources and delivering impactful training.
- A passion for cultural diversity and language learning
