About The Role

Job Title: Catering Assistant
Hours: Monday - Thursday 10am-2pm (some Fridays required as overtime to cover annual leave on occasion)
Location: Plough Lane, Hereford
Salary: Hoople Band B £23,826 - £28,251 pro rata (£10,303 - £12,216 per annum)
Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: 10th February 2026
 

Are you someone who enjoys working with the public in a fast-paced, hands-on environment? We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our busy café team.

About the Role:

  • Serving food and operating the till

  • Using the coffee machine (barista training a plus but not essential; full training provided)

  • Assisting the chef with food preparation (both hot and cold dishes)

  • Washing up (all staff share pot washing duties)

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility and willingness to be multi-skilled

  • Food hygiene certificate desirable but not essential (training available)
