Activity Co-ordinator
Location: Hereford & Leominster (Southbank & Ridgemoor Services)
Hours: 37
Salary: £23,826

Create meaningful moments. Inspire everyday joy.

Are you a creative, compassionate individual who wants to make a genuine difference? At Hoople Care, we’re looking for an Activity Co-ordinator to bring energy, imagination, and warmth to our Learning Disabilities Services—helping residents live full, active, and connected lives.

About the role

This is more than just organising activities—it’s about creating experiences that matter.

You’ll design and deliver a varied, person-centred programme of activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. From day-to-day engagement to special events and community outings, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing quality of life.

Working closely with residents, families, and care teams, you’ll ensure every activity reflects individual preferences, abilities, and goals—whether that’s a quiet one-to-one session or a lively group event.

What you’ll be doing

  • Planning and delivering engaging daily, weekly, and monthly activity programmes
  • Organising creative, social, educational, and recreational sessions
  • Supporting both group activities and one-to-one engagement
  • Encouraging residents to try new experiences and maintain independence
  • Organising outings and trips within the local community
  • Booking and coordinating external entertainers and speakers
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals
  • Supporting residents to stay connected with their community, culture, and interests
  • Monitoring participation and evaluating the success of activities
  • Maintaining accurate records using digital and paper-based systems
  • Contributing to a safe, respectful, and person-centred environment
  • Occasionally supporting residents with personal care needs during activities

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about improving the lives of others
  • Creative, proactive, and full of ideas
  • Empathetic, patient, and kind
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills
  • Motivated to encourage and inspire others

You’ll also have:

  • Experience working in health, social care, or with vulnerable adults
  • A Level 2/3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Good English and Maths skills
  • Digital skills to research, plan, and organise activities
  • An understanding of person-centred care and health promotion

Additional requirements

  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to drive (to support community activities and outings)
  • Awareness of Health & Safety and CQC standards
  • Willingness to undertake training and development
  • Enhanced DBS check required

Why join Hoople Care?

At Hoople Care, we’re proud to provide supportive, person-centred services where both residents and staff can thrive. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that values respect, dignity, creativity, and compassion—and where your ideas and energy will truly make a difference.

Apply today and help us create a better everyday experience for our residents.
