Our Early Help Team is seeking a confident and approachable, customer focussed individual to join our team of Early Help Information and Signposting Officers. The role is part time and primarily based in our North Children’s Centre, In Leominster, however, cover across our Central and South localities will be required sometimes.  

As an Early Help Information and Signposting Officer (EHISO), you will have a front facing role in which you will meet and greet children, families and wide range of partner agencies accessing Herefordshire Children’s Centre Services.  This will primarily be in a Children’s Centre building, however the role does require some promotional outreach into the community, so ability to travel is advantageous.  Our EHISOs signposting families with children aged 0 to 5 to a wide range of groups, services and information that support child development and best start in life, so some knowledge in this area would be beneficial,

In addition to the public facing role EHISOs are responsible for processing data and information for Children Centre services, Early Years and the 14-19 teams. You will also be required to produce promotional materials, process invoices, maintaining accurate records, taking occasional minutes and day to day administration of the Children Centre service. You will have back office and front office duties to include answering telephone enquiries, updating our social media pages and ensuring that the centre is warm and welcoming to all.  Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft software packages and a variety of digital platforms is essential to the role.
