About The Role

Team Leader – Hillside (Hoople Care)

£12.76 per hour | Permanent | Enhanced DBS | Full time

Do you want to lead a passionate care team that transforms lives every day? Are you ready to take the next step in your care career in a supportive, forward-thinking environment?

About us

At Hillside (part of Hoople Care) we’re proud of our outstanding leadership. Our Registered Manager was awarded “Manager of the Year 2024” by the Hereford Times Care awards, and you’ll work directly alongside her and an experienced Deputy Manager as part of a highly motivated team. Together we’re shaping innovative, person-centred care that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

Hillside Care Centre is a welcoming, vibrant residential care home in the beautiful south of Hereford (Redhill).

We provide short-term residential care with a strong focus on reablement and independence — supporting each individual to achieve their personal goals, whether that’s returning home or moving on to a long-term care arrangement. Our dedicated team delivers high-quality, person-centred support in a warm, family-style environment, making a genuine difference to the lives of everyone we care for.

Why Join Us?

  •  Award-winning leadership – learn and develop under the 2024 “Manager of the Year”.
  •  Make an impact – help people live as independently, safely and fully as possible.
  •  Grow your skills – we’ll empower you to develop your leadership, compliance and quality-improvement expertise.
  •  Collaborative culture – work with local professionals, families and the community to deliver best practice.
  • Real variety – no two days are the same; you’ll combine hands-on care with team leadership and service development.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading day-to-day shifts, coordinating assessments to ensure the highest personalised care and support.
  • Acting as a role model, providing guidance and supervision to Support Workers and agency staff.
  • Supporting the management team with audits, quality monitoring and compliance to CQC and Hoople standards.
  • Developing innovative activities and opportunities that help people live full, active lives.
  • Manage medication rounds and maintain MARS, ensuring records, medication and safety processes are always up to date and compliant.
  • Building strong relationships with families, professionals and the wider community.

Please note: This role may occasionally involve mobile working, including carrying out pre-admission assessments at the hospital.
